Some updates from Shore County...

I've remodeled it a bit because I was tired of that dumb little city hall that came with Riverview (no offense, I like it, I was just getting tired of it being in almost every custom world I've made!)



My sims had a neat Halloween party in their backyard. Melanie was a kung-fu master, Edward (now Eduardo because Edward just keeps me thinking about frickin Twilight!) was an explorer, and Mel's brother Richard was a racecar driver.



I added a fusion lounge in Shang Simla that is located in a newly constructed skyscraper in the hills. Yup... the crazy industrialization of China has finally reached this cozy little village. Unfortunately though I couldn't get the elevators to work... but I did get a nice view of the village from the top of the tower:






Also I built a nightclub in the new Cannery Beach district of Shore County, which also has a sports bar.



Essentially, the building was once an aquarium (the building and district were inspired by the wharfs in Monterrey, California) and was turned into a nightclub when the aquarium owners left.

Also, there was FINALLY neighborhood party that didn't totally SUCK. This one was thrown by Melanie & Richard's aunt, Adria.



Eduardo came, but was embarrassed by his mom's dancing and mocked her. :P



Then the TV broke and everyone freaked out... LOL. It was an interesting party.

Waikakuloa - a custom island of mine

Just as a disclaimer, I am considering uploading this world in the future, but I would have to remove some of the custom content first. I figure I might as well just share pictures of the world. If you really don't want to wait with uncertainty, you can download a neat little Tropical (presumable Hawaiian) island that uses a very similar template . It is called Waui & Wauhini and it's by Docsprock over on the official site. Here's the forum thread and download link.

Anyways, Waikakuloa is a Hawaiian themed island, located somewhere near Twikkii Island I suppose. Twikkii used to steal all the thunder, but now my little island is getting more popular. Take that, Twikkii b***hes.



What inspired me to make this world was the picture above, but also wanting an alternative to Barnacle Bay. I can afford it, but I'd rather not buy it to save for Late Night, and I wanted to make my own world for free that I could design however I wanted, and with the help of some delicious Sims 1 Vacation soundtrack music, I came up with Waikakuloa.

Ahhh.... anyways, let's get on with the pictures!!

Stanislas' Death

Some sad news from Shore County. Davis family elder Stanislas Simzyk recently died from.... um.... sudden starvation. The family is coping with the loss... unfortunately it seems to be quite hard for Richard Davis.



Melanie: "It's okay Richard, at least his tombstone isn't one of those ugly ground plaques."



Melanie: "Richard, don't worry about it! We'll get a different front door... I hate that pseudo-Craftsman thing anyways."



Melanie seems to be handling it well... she was perhaps the closest to her Grandpa and inherited her sense of humor from him, but she feels at peace and is always thinking about her grandpa. Erm... this wasn't really the best picture to put for that. lol



They've gotten over it, and are continuing their regular lifestyle. Melanie is back to telling jokes and snuggling with her boyfriend watching horror movies, while Richard is back to playing his computer games and generally slothing around on the computer.

Melanie: "Will you protect me from psychotic murderers?"
Edward: "Of course snoogle-boogums!"
Richard's thoughts: "OMG WTF STFU SRSLY"

Although this is a tiny picture, you can see the grandpa (Stanislas) with his daughter (Anna) who is the mother of two twin kids (Melanie & Richard)

Also I built the cathedral there :P



Melanie: "umm... GRAMPA... I don't think we're supposed to be driving this SUV through the streets here... everyone's driving a scooter"
Stanislas: "Relax Mel, I know what I'm doing."
Richard: "You almost ran over that guy."
Stanislas: "HE WAS IN MY WAY!!"




Melanie: "Rarrr Rawwrr, yes teddy, I'll be getting you a nice pair of gloves!"
Richard: "Muahaha, I'm gonna sneak up on Melanie..."



Richard: "HEY!! OH FUU------"
